5/11 morning update. Happy Mother’s Day!
Good morning everyone!
First I want to say happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Want to give a big shout out to my mother Janet for being the rockstar that she is! She has been doing everything she can help us with everything. Second my wife, Brandi you have shown you are ready for motherhood and you are one of the strongest women I have ever met, I am beyond proud and privileged that you are the mother to Walker. You are killing it!
Now the update you all came here to read, it has been an interesting night! Last night the nurses came in to do the last monitoring session of the day for Walker and the little guys heart rate has gone down! Went down to much! Was at 90-98 so he had everyone pretty freaked out and had every doctor from the OB on full alert, we gave him some time watching him on the ultrasound and his heart rate came back up to normal rhythm. With this the little turkey caused another room changed at 12:30 am. We are now back down stairs on the labor&delivery level.
Now back on this floor they are able to monitor Walker closely, once getting all set up in the new room someone wanted to go back in SVT (high heart rate). So then back to good monitoring. With all of this Janet came back to help with everything. We got settled in and at 2:48 am he went back to sinus rhythm (120-150) and has been there since! Everyone here is pretty tired Janet told me to sleep and she would take night shift so I got some shut eye to be good for morning shift and Brandi did get some sleep but would like more.
6:00 am can around to quick, the doctors and nurses came in before shift changed and all said they are pulling for Walker, couple of the nurses that will be back tonight took pages from a ABC coloring book set we brought to pass time home with them. They are invested in him and gives us peace that we are where we need to be.
We are still waiting to see what this doctor shift wants to do but all in all Brandi is doing good and Walker is being Walker.
